About Word Hunt Quest
Word Hunt Quest is a free word search game for your browser, set at camps along a jungle trail. Each camp has a theme and a letter grid, and the words you need are listed on the right. At Camp 1, Jungle Animals, the list was JAGUAR, MONKEY, PARROT and SLOTH.
Drag across the letters to circle a word. A correct word gets a colored band in the grid and is crossed off the list. Words can run in any direction, so look across, down and diagonally, and backwards too.
A timer counts up while you search, and each camp shows a par time to beat; Camp 1 has a par of 20 seconds. A counter such as 2/4 tells you how many words you have found. In our test, PARROT ran straight down the first column and MONKEY down the last one, and we cleared the camp in 12 seconds for three stars.
Besides the camps, the title screen has a Daily Trail in three sizes: Easy 9x9, Medium 12x12 and Hard 15x15. Helpers unlock along the trail, such as a spyglass at Camp 3, a torch at Camp 6, an hourglass at Camp 9 and a map at Camp 13.
Use a mouse or your finger to drag across the letters; it works on a computer and on a phone, with nothing to install.
