About Rope Riddle
Rope Riddle is a free word-guessing game for your browser. Each level gives you a category, such as Vehicles, and a row of empty tiles, one for every letter of the hidden answer. On the right, a young climber hangs from a rope above a sunset canyon with a river far below.
Tap letters on the on-screen keyboard to guess. A right letter turns green and appears in every tile where it belongs. A wrong letter is greyed out, and the rope frays a little more; a row of seven little segments under the picture shows how much rope is left.
In our first level the category was Vehicles with five tiles. E, U, K and C were all misses and cost four pieces of rope, but A, R and T filled in T, R, A and N showed up at the end, which left only one tile to find.
The category is your strongest clue, so start with letters that fit many words of that kind, and use common vowels early. Gems you collect can go toward helpers that unlock as you play: Reveal at level 3, Snip at level 6, Lantern at level 10 and Spare Rope at level 15.
