About Mall Tycoon
Mall Tycoon puts you in charge of a brand-new shopping mall. The doors open on Level 1, called Opening Day, and the mall is still mostly empty: a long walkway, a few store fronts waiting to be filled and a cash counter near the entrance. Your job is to turn that quiet building into a busy mall full of shops and shoppers.
You play as the mall manager, walking up and down the walkway in person. Everything happens by moving around. Step onto the cash pile to grab the money your shops have earned, then walk to an empty store spot to spend it. Each new store you open brings in more shoppers, and more shoppers mean more cash to collect.
The first goal is simple and shown at the top of the screen: Grab the cash. A pointing hand and arrows show you where to go, so the opening minutes teach the whole loop without a long tutorial. Once you have collected your first stack, the next goals guide you toward opening stores and upgrading the ones you already have.
The mall is the star of the game. Store fronts line both sides of the walkway, each with its own spot to unlock, and the view follows your manager as you walk through the building. Watching an empty corner turn into a lit-up shop is the main reward, and the mall slowly fills with color and life as you go.
A star bar at the top tracks your progress through the level. Every store you open and every upgrade you buy moves it forward, and filling it moves you on to the next stage of your mall. That gives each short session a clear target, so you always know what to do next.
Planning your spending matters. Opening a new store adds a fresh source of income, while upgrading an existing one makes it earn more each time. Early on, opening stores quickly is usually the fastest way to grow. Later, upgrades help each shop pull its weight as the mall gets bigger and the prices go up.
The controls are easy on any device. On a computer you steer with the mouse, and on a phone or tablet you hold and drag anywhere on the screen to walk. A How to Play button is always there if you want a quick reminder of the rules.
