About Draw the Missing
Draw the Missing is a drawing puzzle. Every level shows a picture with one part left out, and you have to notice what is missing and sketch it in. It mixes a spot-the-gap brain teaser with simple finger drawing, so you need both your eyes and your hand.
Level 1 shows a smiling red balloon floating on its own. The task reads: Draw the balloon's string! A dotted line hangs below the balloon, and the hint says to trace it with one finger. It is a gentle start that teaches the controls before later pictures stop showing you where to draw.
You do not need to be an artist. The Drawing tip card says it plainly: just draw the part roughly where it belongs, and a wobbly line is fine. What matters is that you saw what the picture needed and put it in the right spot.
There is a nice collecting side as well. A Crayon Box on the left holds the colors you draw with. You begin with Charcoal, which is 1 of 8 crayons, and the next crayon arrives at level 6. Later stages unlock at levels 3, 10, 14 and 18, and a reset button lets you redraw a level if your line went astray.
The look is bright and playful, with paint splashes, stars and crayons around a cream paper background. Draw the Missing suits young kids learning to observe, and older players who like quick visual riddles. Levels are short, there is no timer, and it plays free in your browser on a computer, tablet or phone held sideways.
The fun comes from the aha moment of seeing what is missing. A balloon without a string, for example, looks fine at first glance until you notice it has nothing to hold it. Later pictures can be less obvious, so the main skill is looking at a scene and asking what part should be there but is not.
Since there is no penalty for a messy line, the game is relaxed and welcoming for small children who are still learning to hold a pencil or stylus. Older players can treat it as a quick test of how sharp their eyes are.
Collecting new crayons as you progress also gives a nice sense of reward, and each new color makes your drawings a bit brighter.
Every level is a single picture, so one puzzle takes only a moment to try.
