About Math Sprint

Math Sprint is a number grid puzzle with a stopwatch. Each level gives you a small grid of sums where some boxes are empty, and a tray of number tiles underneath. You fill the gaps so that every sum, both across and down, is true. The twist is the clock: every level has a par time, and beating it is how you earn all three stars.

The first level is called Warm-up and has a par of 15 seconds. It shows two sums that share a corner: 5 + 3 going down, and 4 + something going across. The tray holds a 4 and an 8. Working out which tile goes where takes a second of thought, because the answer to one sum is also part of the other.

Controls are simple. Tap an empty box, then a number in the tray, or drag a number straight into place. Undo and Clear buttons sit just under the grid, and a question-mark button in the top bar opens the help. Like any proper arithmetic, × and ÷ are worked out before + and −.

The look is a neon running track at night, with glowing lanes and floating math symbols, which suits the sprint theme. Three hearts show how many mistakes you can make, and a Track Stars counter on the left goes up to 75. New stages unlock at levels 3, 6, 10 and 15.

Math Sprint is good for anyone who wants to sharpen quick addition and see number patterns faster. The early levels are gentle enough for kids, and chasing the par time gives older players a reason to replay. Each level takes well under a minute, it runs free in your browser, and it works on a computer or a phone turned sideways.

Speed matters, but so does accuracy. A rushed wrong answer costs a heart, and losing hearts slows you down more than taking an extra second to check. The fastest runs come from reading the whole grid once, spotting which sum gives a sure answer, and then placing tiles in a smooth order without second-guessing.

Because every level has its own par time, you always know what a three-star run looks like. Replaying an earlier level to shave off a few seconds is part of the fun, much like running laps on a real track.

The start card before each level shows the level name, the par time and a Go button, so you can take a breath and plan before the clock starts.

Tips for Math Sprint

  • Solve the sum with the fewest unknowns first; its answer often feeds the other sum.
  • Read the par time on the start card before pressing Go.
  • Use Clear to reset the grid quickly instead of undoing one move at a time.
