Word Games
Word games turn letters into small puzzles. Guess a hidden word from color clues, circle words in a grid of letters, fill in a category answer before the rope runs out, or sort word cards into categories. Each one is free in the browser, on a phone or a computer.

Kinds of word games
Five-letter guessing: in Guess Five you have six tries to find a five-letter word. Each tile turns blue when a letter is in the right place, orange when it is in the word but elsewhere, and dark when it is not in the word. New rounds follow one after another, so there is no wait for the next puzzle.
Word search: Word Hunt Quest hides a themed list of words in a letter grid at each camp, starting with Jungle Animals. Words can run across, down, diagonally and backwards, and a par time gives you something to beat. A Daily Trail comes in 9x9, 12x12 and 15x15 sizes.
Hangman style: in Rope Riddle you guess a hidden answer from its category, one letter at a time. Each wrong letter frays the rope, and seven segments show how many misses you have left.
Word solitaire: Word Deal Solitaire swaps suits for words. Open a gold category card such as Fruit or Music, then drop the words that belong to it onto it before the deals run out.
Tips for word games
Start with common letters. In a guessing game, vowels plus R, S, T or N rule out the most words early. In a word search, look for rare letters such as J, K or Y first, because they lead you straight to a word. And always use the clue the game gives you: the category in Rope Riddle and Word Deal Solitaire, or the colored tiles in Guess Five.
Word Games to start with
- Guess Five: Find the five-letter word in six tries, with color clues on every tile.
- Word Hunt Quest: Circle themed words in a letter grid and beat each camp's par time.
- Rope Riddle: Guess the category answer letter by letter before the rope frays.
- Word Deal Solitaire: Sort word cards under gold category cards in a solitaire layout.
Word Games FAQ
Do I need to type on a keyboard?
No. Every word game here has on-screen letters or works by dragging, so a finger on a phone works as well as a keyboard on a computer.
Can I play more than one puzzle a day?
Yes. Guess Five starts a new numbered round as soon as you solve one, and Word Hunt Quest has a trail of camps besides its Daily Trail.
